Description:
This is a very soft yarn, naturally nuanced thanks to the yak. Its single (unplied) construction gives it a slightly fuzzy appearance and a very lively finish. It also allows for a more supple knit, with a beautiful drape and a subtle texture. The yarn is very pleasant to work with and slides easily on the needles.
The addition of yak to this base provides all the richness of its characteristics: a supple drape, excellent natural thermal properties, and a subtle taupe-grey tint. The delicate luster of the silk illuminates the whole with a light shine, while the yarn's construction offers beautiful stitch definition.
This yarn is undyed and retains the natural color of the fiber, as it exists on the animal. This authentic shade reveals all the richness, depth, and subtle nuances inherent to the material, which are impossible to reproduce artificially. It thus possesses a unique, lively, and deeply organic beauty.
The superwash Merino wool comes from South America. The Grade A Mulberry silk comes mainly from China. The yak comes from Tibet and Mongolia. Grade A silk corresponds to the highest quality of silk. Mulesing-free guaranteed. OEKO-TEX® certified.
